How is my data encrypted?

All sensitive data is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. Data in transit is protected by TLS 1.3. Each customer instance is completely isolated with its own dedicated infrastructure.

Who owns the data stored in Lucid Vault?

Your documents are stored within your dedicated Lucid Vault instance. If you connect external storage (such as S3, Azure Blob, or SharePoint), you retain full control and ownership of that data in your own infrastructure. If you use the platform's built-in storage, documents are bound to your server instance. You can download individual documents at any time, and there is a bulk download option for smaller collections. However, there is currently no full data export facility for large document libraries. For organizations with significant document volumes, we recommend connecting your own external storage from the start.

Can I use my own domain and branding?

Yes. Every plan includes white-label support. You can configure your own logo, color scheme, and custom domain. SSL certificates are provisioned automatically via Let's Encrypt. Your clients will see only your brand throughout the experience.

What authentication methods are supported?

Lucid Vault supports email and password authentication with strong password policies and account lockout protection. For enterprise single sign-on, we support Azure AD, Okta, Google, OneLogin, Auth0, and any OIDC-compliant identity provider. SSO is available on all plans.

What happens if I want to cancel?

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain full access to your Lucid Vault instance until the end of your current billing period. Monthly subscribers are billed on the same calendar day each month (e.g., subscribe April 10, renews May 10). Annual subscribers are billed on their subscription anniversary date.

Important: When your billing period ends, your server and all data stored on it will be permanently deleted. There is no grace period and no way to recover data after deletion. We strongly recommend downloading any documents you need and, if applicable, disconnecting external storage integrations before your subscription expires.

All subscriptions are non-refundable. Monthly and annual plans are not eligible for partial or full refunds under any circumstances. If you are on an annual plan and cancel mid-term, you will continue to have access for the remainder of your annual period, but no portion of the annual fee will be refunded. Please review our Terms of Service for complete details.
